Dr Noxolo Mashavave, a Medical Registrar in her final year was the first recipient of the inaugural Surgeons for Little Lives Research award for the best publication from an emerging research award during the event on the 20th October 2021.

Surgeons for Little Lives were recently able to offer CPR for Professionals courses to many of the nurses in the Paedaitric Surgery and Burns Unit.

Part of our focus for 2019, will be breaking ground on our new Lactation Unit and Breastmilk Bank at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital.

We are very grateful to Wings and Wishes for partnering with us, to ensure we can help those needing it most.

Our Foundation had the absolute pleasure of hosting a camp for Surgeons for little lives at Kwalata Adventure Centre in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve during the weekend of 1 to 3 March 2019.

A Health Hackathon was hosted through WHI on 23rd – 24th February 2019.

In the month of love, a group of Multichoice employees showed our patients some love by visiting our wards.
