During my two-year rotation at Bara I remember some life-threatening situations for our little patients who underwent emergency theatre for various congenital malformations. Not all neonates could receive a heart echo previous to surgery as the ultrasound was not always available.
When my husband and I got married we asked our friends and family to collect money for an ultrasound especially for neonates that all of them can complete the preoperative diagnostics.
